The world wide web is a collection of millions of file stored on thousand of computers all over the world. These files represent text document, pictures, videos and just about any other kind of information that has even been recorded in computer files. The web is the largest and most diverse collection of information ever assembled.

  The world wide web is consists of large number of websites that contain a number of web pages which is maintained by the various web server.

In 1980, Tim Berners-Lee, contractor at the European organisation for nuclear research built ENQUIRE, as a personal database of people and software models. In 1984 berners-lee returned to CERN, and considered its problems of information management physics from Around The World needed to share data. In 1993 there are 50 Web Services across the world. In 1994 the total number of website was still minute compared to as present figure, but quit number of notable websites were already active.  by1996 it world wide web become much popular and peoples saw the possibility of free publishing worldwide information.
